The DOAJ Seal is a mark of certification for open access journals, awarded by DOAJ to journals that achieve a high level of openness and adhere to Best Practice and high publishing standards. <p>To receive the Seal, the journal must comply with the following 7 conditions:</p><ul><li>use DOIs as permanent identifiers;</li><li>provides DOAJ with article metadata;</li><li>deposits content with a long term digital preservation or archiving program;</li><li>embeds machine-readable CC licensing information in articles;</li><li>allows generous reuse and mixing of content, in accordance with a CC BY, CC BY-SA or CC BY-NC license;</li><li>has a deposit policy registered wíth a deposit policy registry;</li><li>allows the author to hold the copyright without restrictions.</li></ul><p> </p><p>The Directory of Open Access Journals is a service that indexes high quality, peer reviewed Open Access research journals, periodicals and their articles' metadata. Articles published in <em>Research in Learning Technology </em>are fully indexed in <a href="https://doaj.org/toc/2156-7077" target="_blank">DOAJ</a>.</p> 2018-01-09T00:00:00-08:00 https://journal.alt.ac.uk/index.php/rlt/announcement/view/359 RLT now open for submissions! 2017-07-10T00:00:00-07:00 Research in Learning Technology 2017-07-10T00:00:00-07:00 https://journal.alt.ac.uk/index.php/rlt/announcement/view/358 ALT announces new partnership with Open Academia to publish Research in Learning Technology 2017-06-13T00:00:00-07:00 Research in Learning Technology <p dir="ltr"><span id="docs-internal-guid-e865e6da-62fa-0a38-a382-31644b800b20">We are pleased to announce that from June 2017 ALT’s journal </span><em>Research in Learning Technology</em> will be published in partnership with <a title="Link to Open Academia" href="https://www.openacademia.net/" target="_blank">Open Academia</a>.</p><p dir="ltr">Following months of uncertainty since its previous publisher, Co-Action, joined Taylor &amp; Francis last autumn, the journal will now re-open for submissions and resume publication as soon as possible.</p><p dir="ltr">After carefully reviewing a number of options and in consultation with other professional bodies, we are delighted to have come to the decision to publish the journal in partnership with Open Academia.</p><p dir="ltr">Chief Executive of ALT, Dr Maren Deepwell, said, ‘This approach will ensure that we continue to develop the journal in line with ALT’s aims and values, working to increase its impact and reach as an Open Access journal.’</p><p dir="ltr">Taking more ownership of the journal’s content and associated data will also provide more continuity for authors and readers alike, ensuring that the growing body of research and evidence continues to be a valuable resource for ALT Members and the wider community.</p><p dir="ltr">Emma Csemiczky, a Founding Partner of Open Academia, commented, ‘We are honoured to join forces with ALT to help secure a wide and open dissemination of research and the best possible service to authors.’</p><p dir="ltr">We would like to thank everyone for their patience and support throughout what has been a difficult period in the journal’s history.</p> 2017-06-13T00:00:00-07:00
